Script Requests

• All script requests are at the discretion of the doctor.
• Prescriptions for medications that are deemed addictive such as opiates and benzodiazepines are not provided through this service. Similarly, prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications that require a clinical assessment will likely be declined.
• A maximum of 3 of your regular medications (no new medications) will be provided at any one time through this service.
• Requests will need to be completed by your regular doctor and the speed of reply may depend on that doctor’s availability. This service is for planned repeats of usual scripts rather than new medications or urgent requests. If you have any questions, please discuss with reception on 02 9817 2080 (fee applies).
• Script requests for all medications will be declined if you have not been seen for more than one year and for some medications if you have not been seen for more than 6 months.
• The quantity of medication and the number of repeats is at the discretion of the doctor, with repeat prescriptions only considered for previously approved and stabilised regular medications that are due for renewal.
• Credit card pre-authorisation will be taken during the request process and does not guarantee script issue. Payments will only be processed if scripts are issued. You will not be charged if you had a consult with your doctor within 2 weeks. You will be advised by SMS either way.
• If your request is declined, you are requested to make an appointment to obtain your prescription.
