Dr Leanne Wang joined Hunters Hill Medical Practice in February 2026 as a Senior GP registrar.
Leanne graduated from the University of New South Wales with distinction in both her Bachelor of Medical Studies and Doctor of Medicine degrees. She subsequently completed her internship and residency at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, gaining broad experience across emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, cardiology, respiratory and geriatric medicine. She also spent time in paediatric emergency at Westmead Children’s Hospital. During her hospital years, Leanne was involved in arranging medical education and mentoring for her colleagues.
As part of her general practice training, Leanne has worked at various practices, caring for a diverse patient population and managing both acute and chronic conditions in clinic and nursing home settings.
Leanne enjoys the breadth of general practice and values the continuity of care it offers. She has particular interests in women’s health, children’s health, mental health and preventative medicine. She is passionate about providing patient-centred care and contributing to the multidisciplinary nature of primary healthcare.
In her time off, Leanne enjoys relaxing by the ocean, reading, musicals and hiking.
She is fluent in English and Shanghainese, and conversational in Mandarin.
Dr Wang enjoys women’s health, children’s health, mental health and preventative medicine.
